History

Exceedra, formerly Cube Software, introduced their first demand forecasting solutions to market in 1986 thanks to a joint venture with Unilever. The first release of Procast was ground breaking, introducing features that some solutions are still missing even today. The solution was widely deployed across Unilever and latest release remains in use across many Unilever sites. After gaining a strong reputation in demand planning the company was able to add many top tier companies including Heineken, Cargill, Revlon and Twinings. Exceedra are proud to count all of these companies still amongst their current client list.

In 1998 Exceedra moved internationally adding clients from across Australasia, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. The global customer base had allowed ideas in demand planning from across the globe to drive our solutions forward. Today our thought leadership still draws heavily on our global presence.

Exceedra expanded their vertical offerings into retail, from 2002, developing new solutions based on the success of Procast. Advances in technology allowed Exceedra to add intelligence to the planning functions for more accurate demand planning. This development has continued constantly and the work can now be seen in the 2009 release of our ActNow Demand Signal Repository and Demand Sensing product.

In 2010 the company rebranded as Exceedra, increasing both the management team and development capability. As a result, Exceedra has shown growth in revenue, product coverage and number of customers.
