Tom Driver – Head of Business Consulting, Exceedra

Tom has over 15 years’ experience in the consumer goods sector and is now Client Director at Exceedra. Prior to Exceedra, Tom was Head of Commercial Transformation at pladis UK, where he was responsible for delivering a new system & associated processes into the business to enable promotional optimization and realize increased ROI. Tom managed all aspects of the project, from recruiting a full-time cross-functional team, through to supplier selection and contract negotiations. Prior to pladis, Tom was Account Director at Reckitt Benckiser, and has worked at other CG companies including Britvic, PepsiCo & Mars.

Steve Rimmer – Managing Director, On-drive Consulting

Steve is a successful FMCG professional, having worked for major FMCG manufacturers such as; Nestle Purina, Heinz, Premier Foods, and pladis global (United Biscuits). Steve’s background is sales, however, he moved into the role of Market, Strategy & Planning Controller at pladis (UB) , where he drove commercial strategies and Revenue Management across some of the UK’s biggest brands such as; McVities and Jacobs. Steve then advanced to the role of Head of Sales Capability at pladis. In that role, Steve created, published and launched the Sales Competencies and the Capability Strategy for pladis sales.

On the strength of this, Steve set up “On-drive consulting” in Jan 2018 which specialises in project/consultancy work and interim placements across Sales, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Management and Sales Capability. In a short period of time, Steve has worked with household brands such as Quorn & Tyrrells, an FMCG business new to the UK, and as an associate to Exsellence.
