20 Jan POI ‘Mid-Cycle’ Report: Exceedra Named ‘Best-in-Class’ TPM Vendor
The Promotion Optimization Institute (POI) have released their TPx Vendor Panorama 2016 Mid-Cycle Update. After being named as a ‘TPM Best-in-Class Vendor’ in August 2016, Exceedra have maintained this position with a distinction in Financial Simulation/Orientation.
After reviewing August’s report and updating on the Vendors’ progress over the past 6 months, POI classed Exceedra’s Product as Above Average for: TPM Functionality, Product Aptness & Flexibility, Delivery Flexibility, User Experience, Configurability, Analytical Capabilities, and numerous other categories.
When evaluating Exceedra’s product, POI said: “The ‘self-serve’ dashboard we reviewed is amongst the best we have seen.”
One of Exceedra’s key strengths is the ability to leverage S&OP requirements, such as baseline creation – 90% of Exceedra’s European customers use them to create a baseline sales forecast. POI also commented on the ability to share or export anything in the system for further analysis, including being pushed out on mobile. Exceedra have also continued to focus on analytics, recently adding Power BI into the tool which has vastly improved visualization and how the analytics render.
“Exceedra has risen to the challenge of taking both usability and visualization to the next level. Not only is it more visually engaging and graphical, but has greater configurability….”
In August’s report, POI stated that there were ‘few other vendors of Exceedra’s size with the same TPx/S&OP footprint.’ With continued growth throughout 2016, POI’s update said Exceedra’s ‘broadening presence with Tier 1 companies’ has further ‘increased their global appeal.’
Of the 75 consumer goods companies POI interviewed, nearly half of the respondents expressed a level of dissatisfaction with their current ability to manage trade promotions. POI are recommending Exceedra if you seek quality in both TPM & TPO as an integrated, yet modular, proposition. Exceedra is able to accommodate the most basic or sophisticated requirements and is a particularly strong vendor if you have global intentions, like to look at promotions from a financial perspective and are looking to link demand creation to demand fulfilment.
